a decent stay
maintained ground spacious apartment great location chaotic reception lumpy gravel uninviting entrance
the grounds are well maintained and very pretty. i found the apartment to be clean and quite spacious. the location is great. i could easily walk to the village center and newport sands. this made exploring super easy and fun.
The reception area felt a bit chaotic, as it was located behind the bar. i noticed the lady working there seemed quite tired. She was doing everything. i also found the car park entrance a bit rough, with lumpy gravel. plus it felt uninviting.

Acceptable Stay, but Several Issues
shabby corridors poor shower
The hotel offers a walk into the town along the river. I found this acceptable.
The room needed a complete refurbishment. The corridors also looked quite shabby. Our room did not retain heat. It was cold. I found the shower was also poor. A disappointment.

warm room quality ingredients
The room was warm and clean. The shower worked excellently!!! Breakfast had well-cooked, quality ingredients. I especially loved the Welsh yoghurt. It was AMAZING!!!

countryside tranquility
tranquil landscape good menu separate area
The manor's grounds displayed meticulous care, with various exploration areas perfect for walks. I found the diverse, tranquil landscape beautiful. a good menu choice with fair prices pleased me. breakfast in a separate area was very good. I loved that i could eat with my dog.
I wished i could have eaten in the bar. The hotel was pet friendly, but dining was only allowed in a small room away from the bar.

The hotel features well-kept grounds with diverse areas for exploration, perfect and their dogs. Coastal path access begins at one end of the site, great for walking and beautiful scenery. nearby beaches, like newport sands and parrog, are a short drive away.

Staff members were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They provided assistance from late arrivals to serving breakfast early, very kindly. I appreciated the professional team's dedication to guest care.

excellent hotel stay
warm greeting excellent breakfast
the staff greeted us warmly upon arrival. the grounds included well kept grass areas, providing ample space to walk the dog. breakfast was excellent and served in a lovely room.
i found many stairs and turns were required to reach the room. the shower tray grouting also looked dirty.

The hotel has its own lake and a river. The surrounding mobile home park must be amazing in the summer. lots of facilities are available in the main hotel for families and adults.

separate area well-kept grounds helpful staff
the breakfast was excellent i appreciated the separate area for dining with my dog. the grounds are well kept with many areas to explore a great feature for dog owners. staff were friendly and helpful too they provided directions for the coastal path which begins at the site's edge.
the car park entrance has lumpy gravel making it a little uninviting.

lovely stay in a charming location!
helpful staff excellent location
The staff were wonderfully helpful. They knew all about local transportation. the location is excellent for anyone wanting to explore the coast path. i found my room quiet and comfortable. the bus route access was super convenient.
There were many stairs and turns required to reach my room, it was a bit of a maze. also, the room and bathroom felt slightly small. I would prefer a bit more space. the shower tray grouting looked a little worn.

The staff showed real kindness. They even prepared coffee and tasty sandwiches when i missed breakfast. i was impressed when the staff refused payment for this special effort. I didn't expect such generosity.

the room included a comfy bed that ensured a good nights sleep. the bathroom offered adequate facilities, it was well equipped and spotlessly clean. en-suite facilities were very convenient.

breakfast offered good variety and tasted great. i loved the welsh yoghurt and quality ingredients used in all the dishes! i appreciated the wood burning fire in the dining area that created a warm atmosphere.
